I don’t care if you’re a cat person or not, I can tell you that cats are obsessed with fidget toys, or at the very least, they’re obsessed with the fidget toy. In the past few years, I’ve seen a lot of cat owners trying to get a cat to sit on or hang onto something.
I see fidget toys as a way of getting the cat to do something that it does not want to do. You can usually tell what the cat is trying to do by what it does when it attempts that behavior. Fidget toys are usually designed to be very simple objects that you can play with and have the cat do whatever the toy does. And that is a good thing because it allows cats to learn new behaviors without the added stress of not being able to do it themselves.
This is a good thing. The fact that cats are social creatures who are constantly trying to do new things for each other in a socially complex world is really helpful to their development. If their toys were designed with a cat in mind, the cats would develop to know how to do the new things as fast as possible. Fidget toys can be a great way to teach your cat to do new things in a controlled manner.
The problem is that cats aren’t the only ones that can play. There are also dogs and other animals who can take part in the same activities. So let’s say you have a cat that is your new best friend. You want to teach them new behaviors without the added stress of not being able to do it yourself. The problem is that you might not want to let them go to a new place or use a new toy if a dog or another animal is around.
While there are plenty of ways to teach a cat to do new things, there are also ways to teach dogs to do new things, and they are equally as effective. So if you have a dog that you want to teach new behaviors, there is a lot of research that supports just letting them do it.
There is a number of reasons that dogs and cats go through such a period of change and development. Most of us have a dog in our lives that we want to teach new behaviors like jumping, hunting, and exploring. The problem is that some dogs may not be good at these behaviors until they are older or in a new place. Likewise, cats may be good with some of the same behaviors until they are in new places.
The problem is that there isn’t a single pet behavior that can be taught in one day. There are a few behaviors that can be taught one-at-a-time if you have a dog or a cat. These behaviors are “petlike.” They are behaviors that don’t have to be taught, just observed.
So, you know, like jumping and chasing (unless you are a dog), some of these behaviors may not be as instinctual for a dog and cat as they are for a dog. Maybe its just the dogs, and maybe its just cats, but all dogs and cats can also learn how to fidget and play fetch.
We’re not sure how to translate fidget toys into our world, but we do know that when we’re not doing it, we’re probably fidgeting and playing. Sometimes we’ll just be sitting and fidgeting. Sometimes we’ll be making a cat or dog some noises. For the most part we don’t really notice the fidgeting, but when we do, it’s often just mindless fidgeting, like the ones from the original game.
One of our writers, Jason, created a little toy, a “dog fidget toy,” that was specifically designed for cats. The only thing is, cats are much more crafty and can create toys in ways that would never work for dogs. The fact that cats are craftier than dogs is also one of the reasons that we decided to put the cat fidget toy on our list.
