Automotive engineers are the people in charge of designing and building the cars that we drive. If you want to be a top automotive engineer, you will need to take some courses in automotive engineering technology. This will include classes on engineering and design principles and math, mechanical concepts, and physics. This can be a lot of fun for you, I guarantee it.
It’s a good thing we’re not engineering students. So why do we take these classes in the first place? Because when engineers design cars, they need to account for a lot of things that impact their ability to actually build a car. They need to consider things like weight, power, how they’ll be driven, how they’ll react to different weather and road conditions, and what kind of materials they’ll need to build their cars. Each of these things takes up a lot of engineering resources.
Engineering is about designing things. When you design a car, you design a method of making a car. This sounds ridiculous, so let me explain…
So what is the purpose of engineering compared to other design professions? Engineers are engineers, but if I told you to design a car, you wouldn’t design its engine. You design a way of making a car that fits your needs. A car is designed to fit, not to break. An electric car is designed to run forever. It is constructed so the electricity can’t be turned off. A car is constructed to run with a certain speed.
Like any other profession, engineering jobs can be very creative and interesting. They can also be really boring. However, I think the way that automobile engineering is usually categorized is a little different than the way that it is usually categorized. I think Automotive engineering is like the art of designing cars. You don’t have to design a car, but you must design any car that is a car. It is how you design a car that defines your career.
Automotive engineering is like how you design a car. It starts in the shop from the moment that you pick up the tool to make a model, to the point where you have the cars on your desk to drive. The way that you do this is very similar to what we do with a car. We use a lot of different things to design and build our cars, like the wheels. We use the same tools to build our cars, but our designs are different.
The wheels are a prime example of this. We start with a model, and then build each of them by adding to it. We use a variety of different materials, like aluminum, plastic, and fiber. We make all the wheels at one time, and then get them to the shop to put the wheels on. We then go back to the shop and cut out the pieces that make up the rim and bottom bracket, then go back to the shop and glue them together.
The wheels are also a great example of the difference between a car and a bike. The car is a large assembly of wheels, and we don’t do this. We build a car from the ground up, but a bike is built from the ground up from the ground up.
Our engineering technology is similar. We make all the wheels in one shot. In fact, we have two wheels per axle (as opposed to the standard 1/10th of an inch that most cars have). So we just build a car, and then we go back to the shop and cut out the pieces that make up the wheel and the rim. Then we glue all this together.
The way we do this is by drilling all the holes for the hubs to be bolted on. Then we mount the axle on the center of the hub. We drill these small holes to the inside of the rim and slide the axle into it. Then we slide the frame on top of that. We glue the suspension on the axle and frame and then we mount the wheels.
