Citi has the patent for a similar technology, but it is a little further along in development. It is still very early in development and should be fully released by the end of this year. We do believe this will greatly increase the convenience of online payments.
With online banking the consumer has a choice of payment methods. With citi technology, your bank will be able to send you your money in the form of cash or check instantly. The convenience of online banking will help you save money in the short-term, but in the long-term, it will reduce transaction costs.
All true. In the long-term, it will save money as well as increase convenience, but in the short-term, the cost will really go up. The cost of citi technology is about $15 per month, for example, and citi will pay monthly processing fees of about $2.00.
The big problem with online banking is that it is not secure. A hacker sitting on your machine can steal your account information and then run an immediate transaction from your account. At that point, the transaction is done and you are in a position to withdraw the money.
This is what happened to a customer of ours who used our online banking service to make a small withdrawal from her account. By the time the hackers realized she hadn’t been using her account, she had already withdrawn the money and was on her way back to her bank.
I suppose it’s a little too late to talk about our customer’s situation, but we are very disappointed to learn that our customer lost her money because of this. It is a very serious, time-consuming issue, but we were assured that because this issue is not a widespread problem, the bank would be able to transfer the money back to her account. This is not a problem that can be fixed quickly.
This problem is actually a problem that can be fixed with a small amount of effort. The bank could have made the correct decision to let the customer use a new debit card that had a different PIN and that the bank could have been using to transfer the customer funds. But it’s a bad mistake that has the bank sitting on its hands.
