In the past, I have used a lot of different kinds of document devices. This includes my trusty Epson Stylus printer/scanner combo, my Apple iPad, a Kindle, and my Panasonic digital camera/lens combo. And yes, I even got my own smart phone. But each of those devices has a big drawback when it comes to scanning and viewing documents.
For example, the Epson Stylus has a big drawback when it comes to scanning and viewing documents. It can’t scan text. What that means is that if you want to make a printout of a document, you have to manually enter every line of the document into the Epson Stylus and then print it out.
The other drawback is that the Epson Stylus is a bit out of date. Epson has come a long way since the original Epson Stylus and now it has a newer version (called the Epson Stylus Pro) that has some great scanning features. Just one of the many reasons why the Epson Stylus Pro will probably be my favorite camera/scanner combo.
The new Epson Stylus Pro lets you scan documents from multiple sources, including e-mail attachments and PDFs, just like Photoshop. Plus, it has some really cool features like automatic text and image alignment. The only downside is that the Epson Stylus Pro is a bit pricey ($699) and a bit heavy for a camera scanner. Still, this is a relatively small issue in the world of full-size document scanners.
The Epson Stylus Pro is also very convenient for anyone who doesn’t have the ability to scan documents. Many people who have one or both of these cameras can now take advantage of the Stylus Pro’s many other features with a simple software upgrade.
For example, you can take a picture of a document and have it automatically turn into a PDF document. Or you can take a picture of a document and have it automatically turn into a PNG document. You can also take a picture of a document and have it automatically turn into a JPEG. The Stylus Pro lets you take a picture of a document and have it automatically turn into a PNG.
Of course, many other features include other things, such as the ability to save documents as PDFs, so you can print them out at home for your own personal use. But it’s the ability to take a picture that is especially exciting. The Stylus Pro looks like an even bigger camera than the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. It’s also quite large – not just in its overall size, but in the angle that it bends to take a picture.

A word of warning, don’t try to take photos in the middle of your bed with the Stylus Pro. You might end up waking up your best friend just to take a picture.
