The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
Well, you know, you can’t stop and think about it every time you wipe your ass or start a car. It’s part of your body, the only thing your brain knows. When you’re on autopilot, your brain simply thinks and moves on without worrying about anything. And that’s just okay.
This is a good point. When you’re in autopilot mode, your brain is very good at simply doing what you want to do, rather than asking questions about why that is happening. This is good because it is very easy to blame the autopilot for making you do what you do. If you stop and think about that you might be able to start to control your actions.
Although this is usually a good point to make, sometimes an individual who is in autopilot mode might feel like they should be doing something. These are the people who make excuses for themselves. They may have always been in autopilot mode, but they have learned to convince themselves it is okay to act that way.
This phenomenon is called “autopilot bias.” People who are in autopilot mode tend to feel like they have a choice. They can decide whether they do or don’t. They can decide if they want to act this way. The problem is that it’s hard to take control of the autopilot. These people can’t help making excuses for their decisions. They may say to themselves, “But if I am in autopilot mode I must be doing something that is making these decisions.
Its like a time loop where you are watching someone else do something that you are doing that is making their actions more and more automatic. If you are in autopilot mode, you are the one doing the things that are making your actions automatic.
The new craigslist listings we receive each week are a good example. They are so full of excuses that it can be difficult to really get a handle on what’s happening, what we’re doing, and why. For example, if I’m looking for a bed, my default behavior is to look up and see if I have seen a bed that interests me. If I am in autopilot mode and I see a bed that interests me, I immediately set up an appointment to see it.
The situation becomes even more challenging when you have a large number of furniture for sale. In the event that you do happen to see one of those furniture pieces for sale, you need to decide whether to go ahead and buy it, or pass. As it turns out, the default behavior is to buy it and not go see it. By default, all of the autopilot things we do are more important to us than actually seeing what the item looks like and what it costs.
One of the hardest things to understand about the autopilot behavior of this world (and the world outside of our own) is that there are always more reasons to do something than to not do something. You can go to dinner with your friends and not even make a plan for how you are going to get home in the night. You can spend $100 on a new couch, only to come home and find that your couch is already being used by others.
And if you’re like us, you know that when you’re in a time loop you have to figure out the logic behind your choices. Maybe you don’t even realize that you are in a time loop. This is what makes the new Deathloop trailer so exciting. The trailer begins with a video of a bunch of people in a busy street in the middle of the night. In that video they are having sex. But they are in a time loop.
